Originally built as the 19th-century residence of one of the island's prominent families, in the 20th century the edifice served as a consulate, the National Bank of Greece, and a high school for Corfiot schoolgirls. In 1988, the apricot-hued stately home became a hotel known for the Most Serene Republic and in 2006 it was lovingly renovated to serve the needs of third-millennium guests from all over the world. The hotel comprises 31 rooms with ancient charm, yet fitted with all comforts of modern life.

"Standard double/twin room": located on the second/top floor. These are the most peaceful rooms & have smaller horizontal windows with limited view because the hotel is a listed building.
