It is said that Metamorfosi is one of the most beautiful villages with lush vegetation in Sithonia which has a Blue Flag beach, much more idyllic than it is, with white sand, green emerald waters and creeks surrounded by pine trees. It is a wide, sandy and crystal-clean beach surrounded by a natural environment with its original fauna and flora. The beach is well-organized providing disabled access.
Set in an outstandingly beautiful area of olive groves and pine forests, the white sandy beach is ideal for sunbathing and swimming. The bay is divided into a series of idyllic coves with aquamarine waters and dense pine forests. The village of Metamorfosi, about 3 km away, counts on 400 people and has developed into a modest resort over time, offering numerous hotels, rooms to let, restaurants and Greek folk art shops. Tourist accommodation options are also available on the beach. Close to the beach, there is the church of Metamorfosi and the monastery of Agios Ioannis Prodromos, and they are both worth visiting.
