It is a very popular resort just 32 km south west of Poligiros, the main town of Halkidiki. Due to its close proximity to Thessaloniki and other resorts, Nea Flogita gets very busy in the summer. It is situated between Nea Moudania and Nea Plagia and is regarded as a nice swimming destination. There are many residents of Thessaloniki who have built their summer houses around this region.
Large and sandy, the coast of Nea Flogita is organized with sun beds and umbrellas. The water is clean and short vegetation surrounds the beach, offering some shade to visitors. Many hotels and rooms can be found around the beach, while some fish taverns have delicious meals. Sometimes in the afternoons, the beach gets windy.
