Geoponika is a coastal settlement in southern Halkidiki. It belongs to the Municipality of Propontida and is very close to Nea Kallikratia. In winter it has few permanent residents, but in summer more than 600 people vacation there. 

 

It was founded in the early 70's. Initially, the construction cooperative of Agronomists of Macedonia and Thrace was inhabited only by agronomists. Later, after the sale of plots of land and houses, the building cooperative could and can be inhabited by anyone. In the building cooperative there is the holy Church of Agia Marina. Also in the construction cooperative during the summer months many activities are organized for children and adults. Finally, the beach of the cooperative has been awarded a blue flag.
