''Sithonia'' Throwing Games - Halkidiki

Sithonia Throwing Games has been organized since 2002, in Nikiti, Halkidiki. Every summer, an international hammer-throwing and shot-putting meeting, called “Sithonia”, is organised in one of the most beautiful places in Halkidiki, Nikiti. It is one of the most important sports events in Northern Greece.

The organization of the throwing games “Sithonia 2017” started in 2002 by Nikos Papadimitriou. Top Greek throwing athletes are participating. During the last years, gaming schedule includes also sports for smaller categories. Sithonia 2020 to be held June 17th, Wednesday.
