Halkidiki is located at the same latitude as Southern Italy, Sardinia, Mallorca, Valencia and has similar mediterranean climate ideal for beach holidays. However, there is always a small chance of rain, especially a short storm. The coldest is January at 9°C (48°F) with the most daily sunshine hours at 13 in July. The best month to swim in the sea is in August when the average sea temperature is 25°C (77°F). Respectively the sea water temperature is higher in August with 25°C water temperature.
